HBKS Wealth Advisors (HBKS) remains one of the nation’s largest CPA financial planners according to Accounting Today magazine’s ranking of CPA firms by assets under management (AUM). With more than $5.7 billion in AUM, HBKS ranked 11th out of 200 registered investment advisories (RIAs) in the magazine’s 17th annual Wealth Magnets study.
In characterizing the year for the firms it reviewed, the magazine noted that the nation’s top RIAs “have already mapped out a safe way for clients to navigate an uncertain economy; they just need them to follow it.”
“While volatile markets present challenges for investors, their financial plans are the bedrock of their investment strategy,” noted Brian Sommers, HBKS Chief Investment Officer. “Adjustments to portfolios are appropriate from time to time, but staying the course as it relates to their financial plans remains key to investors achieving their financial goals.”
The magazine pointed out the year’s challenges as “volatile markets, rising inflation, the Federal Reserve ending a decades-long era of low interest rates, and a pervading sense of economic uncertainty.” It added that the “most successful CPA financial planners … have one primary message for clients: Stick to the plan.”
“Every HBKS client relationship starts with their financial plan, and every client meeting thereafter is rooted in a review of their plan and their progress toward their financial goals as outlined in their plan,” noted HBK Managing Principal and CEO Christopher M. Allegretti. “That HBKS and HBK CPAs & Consultants both continue to perform well in industry rankings and studies reflects more than anything our clients’ faith in us to help them achieve those goals.”
