Financial Planning & Management
Financial planning is a critical first step to achieving your personal financial goals and therefore is at the core of our relationship with you. We believe your needs are best met through a formal financial planning process designed to determine where you stand relative to your long-term goals, such as retirement. The planning process will help you and your advisor make informed decisions to better control your finances and your future. The planning process is the basis for a roadmap to help you accomplish your goals. Your personal financial plan will be based on independent, unbiased advice, and be fully integrated with your tax and estate planning objectives.
Your HBKS® wealth advisor will introduce you to our personal financial planning process, and lead you through a conversation designed to reveal and prioritize your goals. We will cover such issues as cash and debt management, investment planning, protection planning issues including life insurance and disability income, personal income tax obligations, retirement planning, asset protection and estate distribution goals. The process leads to a detailed personal financial analysis summarizing each goal, your current progress toward those goals, and a thorough set of written recommendations with specific action steps designed to help you reach those goals.
Our approach to comprehensive financial planning involves the following:
Your HBKS® wealth advisor will ensure that your financial plan focuses on your personal and financial goals. - How much do you need to save for your children’s college education?
- What is your projected tax liability for the next three to five years?
- How much will it cost to settle your estate based on your current estate plan?
- What is your tolerance for risk?
- How much volatility is your investment portfolio currently exposed to, and what is the expected return on your portfolio?
You and your HBKS® wealth advisor benefit from the support of HBKS® experts in a vast array of financial disciplines in producing your recommended action plan, a blueprint for your financial future. The plan will address all areas pertinent to your financial objectives, such as:
