August 7 – HBKS has placed among the top 20 percent of registered investment advisories with over $1 Billion in assets in the U.S. by Financial Advisor Magazine in the August 2020 edition. The publication’s annual survey ranks RIAs according to assets under management.
The magazine characterized 2020 as “alienating” and noted RIAs’ challenges in conducting their business in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Suddenly, work colleagues were robbed of the daily camaraderie that keep people engaged, focused and sane,” the survey authors noted. “Financial planning is a people business that allows you to meet with clients, look them in the eye, determine their fears, show empathy, give counsel, discover a person’s psychology. … 2020 likely felt more like 2001: A Space Odyssey.”
The Financial Advisor study was the second time in a week that HBKS was recognized for its prominence among U.S. RIAs. In the August 2020 edition, the firm was notified that for the seventh consecutive year, it was named to the Financial Times’ FT 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers which uses a formula to grade advisers based on six broad factors including Assets Under Management, asset growth, the company’s age, industry certifications of key employees, SEC compliance record and online accessibility.
“We are pleased to be recognized as a prominent member of a vital industry,” noted HBKS® CEO and Managing Principal Chris Allegretti. “That we continue to grow and move up in the rankings of RIAs is an indication of our clients’ continued faith in us to help them achieve their financial goals.”
