HBKS Wealth Advisors Ranks in the Top 10 of Accounting Today’s 2026 Wealth Magnets

06/11/2026

HBKS Wealth Advisors has been named to Accounting Today’s 2026 Wealth Magnets, the publication’s annual ranking of the top CPA-affiliated financial planning firms by assets under management. This year, HBKS ranks #10 out of nearly 200 firms nationwide, moving up one spot from 2025.

Each year, Accounting Today ranks CPA-affiliated wealth management practices by total assets under management. The 2026 list drew submissions from close to 200 firms across the country, representing a wide range of practice sizes and structures. It is now in its 20th year. HBKS Wealth Advisors, based in Erie, Pennsylvania, ranked #10.

HBKS is the wealth management affiliate of HBK CPAs & Consultants, a top 50 independent accounting firm. For clients, that relationship means investment strategy, tax planning, and business advisory services aren’t siloed across different firms. They’re coordinated by professionals who share client context and work from the same plan.

“As an affiliate of a top 50 independent accounting firm, HBKS leverages our strategic position within the broader HBK ecosystem to provide clients with comprehensive financial solutions,” said Scott Cross, Chief Operating Officer at HBKS Wealth Advisors. “We systematically introduce clients to the extensive range of specialized services available through our parent organization, creating seamless integration between wealth management strategies and complementary professional services.”

For high-net-worth individuals and business owners, this means investment strategy, tax planning, estate planning, and business advisory services can operate as a coordinated whole, rather than as separate engagements with separate firms.

Growth With Purpose

The Accounting Today feature accompanying the rankings explored how the country’s top CPA wealth management practices are managing growth without sacrificing the personalized service their clients expect. It’s a challenge that shapes how HBKS approaches its own expansion.

HBKS is actively pursuing both organic and inorganic growth. On the organic side, the firm is investing in digital marketing capabilities and advisor development programs. The goal is straightforward: give advisors more capacity to focus on clients, and give clients access to more of what the HBK platform can offer.

That combination of scale and coordination is what positions HBKS to continue earning recognition in rankings like this one.
