This is to inform you of certain changes and important issues relative to operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
First and foremost, we want you to know that we are operational and remain attentive to your needs. However, for the health and safety of all and to accommodate government directives on social distancing, we are now restricting outside access to our offices. Our goal is to ensure continuity of services for our clients while keeping our employees safe and healthy.
Other issues of importance:
IRS filing deadline: An official announcement has been made that individual and corporate tax payments have been extended for three months without penalty or interest. While the deadline for filing has not changed, we will still work to have your tax return to you as soon as possible if we have all required information. Your returns will be sent to you electronically or by U.S. Mail. Please contact us if you prefer a different arrangement. There are many tax matters still to be clarified, and we expect federal guidance in the coming days. We will share that information with you as soon as we have it.
HBKS Wealth Advisors: For our wealth management clients, your account access will not be impacted by these changes. Please continue to work with your Advisor and/or through the technology provided by the custodian of your assets, to complete the necessary actions in your investment management accounts. Please contact your Financial Advisor if you have any need.
Capital markets: The capital markets remain open and we are fully prepared to function on your behalf as always.
Using technology: HBK CPAs & Consultants, HBKS Wealth Advisors, HBK Valuation, Litigation & Forensics, HBK High Performance, and HBK IT have regularly invested in technology to allow us to be an efficient and mobile workforce. Email and phones are not impacted by the virus crisis, and we are using our HD video conferencing equipment in lieu of travel and face to face meetings. You can still reach HBK team members through their office contact information. We will relay phone messages and respond as quickly as possible to all voicemail inquiries. To send us files electronically, please refer to the signature block of the emails from your HBK advisor for a secure file exchange link. Please note, for our wealth management clients transmission of confidential information requires the use of our secure email capabilities. Please contact your Advisor if you require further assistance.
U.S. Mail and information delivery: We recommend the digital method of document delivery noted above for security and timeliness. Where possible, our offices will provide access to secure drop boxes that are checked regularly. Also, U.S. Mail is an option for non-sensitive information or non-urgent communications.
